Founded in 2001 by Marilisa and Walter Allegrini, Poggio al Tesoro represents the Allegrini family’s passion for exploring the renowned Bolgheri region of Tuscany. Poggio al Tesoro is rooted in Bolgheri, one of Italy’s most dynamic and celebrated coastal wine regions. Known for its “Super Tuscan” legacy, Bolgheri combines Mediterranean climate conditions with cooling sea breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea, allowing for optimal ripening while preserving freshness and balance. This coastal influence is a defining factor in the character, depth, and elegance of the wines.
Today, the estate is recognized as one of Bolgheri’s leading producers, combining family tradition with a forward-thinking approach to winemaking.

Il Seggio Bolgheri Superiore DOC
Il Seggio presents itself with an intense ruby red color. The wine has a classic bouquet of plum, cocoa and tobacco, with a mineral note at the center of a sip of extraordinary dynamism, fresh with an appealing flavor. The tannins are silky and enveloping; the finish is precise, clean, and juicy. A versatile red that complements everything from BBQ and pasta to roasted meats.
Estate grown. Organic. 20 year old vines. Aged for over a year in new and used barriques.

The flagship wine of the estate, Sondraia enchants with its deep ruby hue, inviting you into a bouquet of ripe blackberries and plums, kissed by whispers of rosemary and spice. On the palate, it unfolds with a velvety embrace, where luscious dark fruit dances alongside subtle notes of chocolate and earth. The finish lingers like a sweet memory, leaving a soft, warm echo of fruit and spice that beckons you back for more. Pairs well with hearty meats, aged cheeses, and truffle-forward dishes.

Entirely obtained from Cabernet Franc grapes and dedicated by Marilisa to her brother Walter. Dense and majestic in its powerful expression, aromas of blackberry, pepper and herbs notes of eucalyptus that blend with harmony and depth. In the mouth, it is surprising how it can hold together this imposing structure with lightness and tension, and as a result, we have on the palate an elegant and powerful wine. A refined and powerful wine ideal for steak, lamb, and rich Italian dishes.
Estate grown. Organic. 30 year old vines. Aged for 2 years in new barriques.

Mediterra Costa Toscana IGT
A blend characterized by a high percentage of Syrah, a strong and clear wine, with intense olfactory sensations of red fruit and spices, a fresh and enveloping taste that moves, in a dynamic and lively way, between notes of red berries and sweet toasted notes, supported by a pleasant acidity that increases the drinkability. It reveals the parfums of the Mediterranean herbs which expresses the intensity of an intact fruit. An easy-drinking Tuscan red that pairs beautifully with pasta, pizza, and grilled meats.
Estate grown. Organic. 15 year old vines. Aged for less than a year in second-use barriques.

Solosole Vermentino Toscana IGT
The brightness of Vermentino is intensely reflected in the aromas of Solosole. A broad-palated white with intense minerality from coastal vineyards. This white wine captivates with its intense notes of flowers and yellow fruit that appear almost suddenly. On the palate, it reveals a medium body and a juicy, delightful sip. The evolution in the glass is intriguing, indicating a surprising capacity for aging. Perfect alongside fresh seafood, light pasta dishes, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
